A woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a train with her three minor daughters near Tapri railway station in Saharanpur district, police said on Saturday.
The 30-year-old woman on Friday jumped before the Ujjain Express with her three daughters, they said.
While the woman and two of her daughters died on the spot, the remaining one was seriously injured. She was rushed to hospital where her condition was stated to be critical, police said adding that all four of them have not yet been identified.
Meanwhile, in another incident 25-year-old Pradeep committed suicide by jumping before a train near Darra Pul in Muzaffarnagar on Friday evening, police said.
The reason behind the suicide in both the cases have not been ascertained yet, police said adding, the bodies have been sent for postmortem.
