RAICHUR: The district administration and the government seem to be in confusion as to who is the district in-charge minister. While the administration claims that Balachandra Jarkiholi is the minister as per the government order and hence, would be invited for all official functions, the CM thinks otherwise. Deputy Commissioner Anbukumar told this reporter that on September 17, Hyderabad Liberation Day would be observed and Jarkiholi would be invited for the function. On Teachers Day, Jarkiholi was invited but he did not turn up.However, Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda, during his recent visit here, told reporters that Anand Asnotikar was the district minister. There was some confusion over the matter and now it has been cleared, he said. But neither Jarkiholi nor Asnotikar have visited the district so far or have reviewed government works.The DC says that until further orders, Jarkiholi will be the district charge minister.Asnotikar was the district minister during B S Yeddyurappa’s tenure, and had to step down later.
