Agra: They may not be able to see but they used their trained fingers to feel every inch of the Taj Mahal, holding one another's shoulders, in a scene that moved locals and tourists alike.

Visitors to the Taj were surprised to see a bunch of 20 teenagers sporting white caps, walking in a straight line holding one another's shoulders, touching and hearing vibrations from the white marble wonder.

All the 20 are blind students of Soor Das Netrheen Vidhyalaya at Keitham Lake, 25 km from here on the Agra-Delhi highway.

They went around the imposing structure and evinced keen interest in what officials of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) told them about the Taj. "It was great, wonderful, what a unique experience," one of them said.

The Lions Club Jewel had arranged the trip. The blind students first went to Fatehpur Sikri and later visited the Taj they had heard so much about from their teachers.

"It was such a touching scene, reminding me of the film 'Black'," said a tourist guide who watched their movements and reactions, referring to the Bollywood hit in which Rani Mukherjee acts blind and is helped to feel the snow.

While many tourists who saw them go by were plainly amused wondering how they would see the Taj when they have no sight, some foreign tourists were keen to be photographed with them.

What's your reaction?
