BANGALORE : Transport Minister R Ashok inaugurated two new bus services by KSRTC titled ‘Karnataka Vaibhav and Airavat Club Class’ at Vidhan Soudha on Thursday. Karanataka Vaibhav will be one step above the Karnataka Sarige bus service and it aims to provide commuters a comfortable journey at affordable prices. Club Class Airavat services will use new Mercedes Multi Axle buses which will be acquired by KSRTC.“Karnataka Vaibhav will be an ideal inter-city bus service as it offers many comforts to the commuters like ergonomic design and superior technology,” said Ashok. Managing Director of KSRTC Gaurav Gupta said that the company today has grown to become synonymous with safety and luxury.‘Karnataka Vaibhava’ services will start initially by plying between Bangalore Vellore, Kanchipuram, Dharmasthala, and Kukke Subrahmanya. Airavat Club Class buses initially will be started from Bangalore to Vijaywada, Hyderabad and Ernakulam. Additional services to far flung cities in different states will also be launched using the Mercedes Benz buses based on customer satisfaction and feedback.
