KOCHI: The People’s Action Council has asked the authorities not to trouble the public by diverting traffic through the bad roads in Kochi city, under the cover of demolishing the North Overbridge.Since the roads are in bad shape owing to the rain, proper planning should be taken in such situation, the Council stated.The demolition of the bridge should not be undertaken until and unless proper decisions on road traffic and maintenance of roads are undertaken, it suggested.Also, the members of the Action Council stated that it is high time that the authorities resolved the problems of the commuters who have to wait for long at the Pachalam and Vaduthala railway gates.District president K Aravindhakshan, district secretary Francis Kallathunkal and state secretary T K Sudheerkumar were present.
