TNPSC leak hunt leads to Andhra

The hunt for those responsible for the TNPSC Group 2 question paper leak led a special police team to Andhra Pradesh on Friday, a day after two more persons revealed that they got the paper from one Rao of AP.

On Wednesday, Senthilkumar, who has finished his PhD, and his brother Thyagarajan, a driver from Tiruvallur district, were arrested on the basis of information provided by the other accused in the case.

Led by additional SP Sureshkumar, a special team went to AP on Thursday to verify Thyagarjan’s claim that he got a leaked copy of the question paper from a man from AP, identified as Rao. Thyagarajan claimed that he paid `4 lakh to Rao for the paper in order to ‘help’ his brother in the TNPSC exam.

Bigger Racket

Police said the particular question paper was printed in West Bengal. They also suspected that the investigation into the case could lead to a racket functioning in other states too.

Normally, the question papers were published in states other than TN, to ensure that those who undertook the printing were not familiar with Tamil, police sources said.
