Title deeds for Vallarpadom, Chengara evictees

KOCHI: As many as 2000 persons belonging to the Vallarpadom struggle, Chengara struggle and Tsunami hit areas will receive title deeds at the Pattayamela to be held on September 13 in Ernakulam.The Chief Minister will distribute title deeds. In the case of Vallarpadom project a total of 290 title deeds had been distributed in the first phase itself.The remaining 21 evictees will receive title deeds.  The drawing of lots for the 21 plots was done by the Collector.Even those persons, whose land was acquired partially, have been selected for title deeds, District Collector P I Sheikh Pareeth said. The land for them has been identified in Thuthiyur region. The processes of segregating plots and assigning numbers at Thuthiyur have been completed. In the case of the Tsunami, 98 persons are to receive title deeds.The title deeds are to be given in Chellanum, Edavanakad, Nayarambalam, Narrakkal and Kuzhupilly. The Pattayamela, part of the 100 day programme of the UDF government, will have title deed distribution programmes as well as assistance on related issues.
