Tirupati fire still raging on, path to temple closed: Police

New Delhi: A huge forest fire that broke out in the temple town of Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday is still raging on, the police said.

Officials suspect that increase in temperatures could have led to the fire.

Officials of the temple board, the police and the fire department are trying to bring the fire under control.

Officials have closed off the path leading to the temple as a precautionary measure. There have been no casualties so far, the police said.
