BANGALORE: In separate incidents, three persons ended their lives by hanging in the city since Tuesday.Depressed after his wife did not pay heed to his request to quit her job, Manjunath, 36, a private firm employee, committed suicide at his residence in NGO Quarters in Rajajinagar on Wednesday. His wife Meena Bai is a typist at the High Court. Police said although Manjunath had asked Meena to resign from her job, she was reluctant to quit. Also, he suspected her fidelity and it had led to frequent quarrels between the couple. Dejected over this, Manjunath hanged himself.Magadi Road police registered a case.In another incident, Amar Gundappa Hotel, 19, a garment factory worker from North Karnataka, was found hanging at his residence in Kebbehala near Sunkadakatte on Tuesday. The reason for the extreme step is yet to be ascertained and his suicide note states that no one is responsible for his death.Shankar, 32, a daily wage worker, was found hanging from a tree on the premises of Vinayaka School on Pipeline Road in Sunkadakatte on Tuesday. It is suspected that depression might have led him to take the extreme step. Police said he had deserted his family over four years ago and was a habitual drunkard. He had hanged himself at night and the incident came to light on Wednesday.Kamakshipalya police registered cases in connection with both the incidents and are investigating.
