There's been no problem with Salman: Prabhu Deva
Prabhu Deva is making his Bollywood debut as a director.

Choreographer-turned-filmmaker Prabhu Deva is back in action, overcoming a personal tragedy (he lost his 13-year-old son Vishal to cancer a few months back). A man of few words, the shy dancer-actor-director was in Mumbai to participate in a shoot for Zee TV's reality show Dance India Dance.

Excited on sharing the same stage with his childhood dancing idol, Mithun Chakraborty, Prabhu Deva says, "It was a special moment. His dancing had always awed me as a child. My father (Sundaram) was the choreographer of the Tamil remake of his blockbuster Disco Dancer."

Prabhu Deva is making his Bollywood debut as a director with the Salman-starrer Wanted. There have been reports about Salman creating problems for its makers by delaying the allotment of dates for dubbing. But Prabhu Deva is quick to clarify, "There is nothing like that.

The dubbing is complete. There have been no problems whatsoever while working with Salman. I am confident he will wow everybody with his action sequences in Wanted."

"Presently the background music is being worked on and only two days of patchwork shooting is left. We are planning to release the film in July," he further adds.

Prabhu Deva also revealed a surprise star attraction in his Wanted, "We have yesteryears' star Vinod Khanna playing an important role in the film. We required someone of his stature and convinced him to play the part. He should also be the one to watch out for in Wanted.”

After a sabbatical, Prabhu Deva also has plans to turn back to acting. "I am doing a Tamil film. It wasn't a conscious decision to keep acting on hold for sometime, but direction kept me busy during the last few years."

So, any more films in Bollywood post Wanted? "I would love to work more in Bollywood. Right now, I am looking forward to the release of Wanted."

What's your reaction?
