The Lok Sabha elections are currently underway across the country with some unexpected people entering the political foray. One young man, a small business owner from Hyderabad, has chosen to contest from the Malkajgiri parliamentary constituency.
The man is named Chiripireddy Ramesh, who is a resident of the Kothapeta area in Hyderabad. He is the owner of a tiffin centre located in the area of Chaitanyapuri, near ICICI Bank. To support his family he ventured into this business. As per reports, Ramesh is not the only one to have a small business at this place; there are many others like him.
In an exclusive chat with Local18, Ramesh revealed that he has filed a nomination to contest for the seat of MP (Member of Parliament). According to him, the traders were facing difficulties in their businesses, between the route of Chaitanyapuri to LB Nagar. He added that in the past month, he had not been able to find work for his cart. So, with the help of his fellow traders, he is contesting the elections.
Speaking further he stated that the Election Commission has allotted the almirah symbol as his campaign’s identification mark. He believes that he is carrying out a good campaign to gain the votes and trust of others. As per reports, Ramesh is competing against Sunita Mahender Reddy from Congress, Etela Rajender from BJP (Bhartiya Janata Party) and Lakshma Reddy from the BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) party, from the constituency of Malkajgiri.
According to reports, the Malkajgiri constituency is considered one of the most important constituencies in Telangana. Ramesh aims to continue his fight alongside his brethren of cart traders, in hopes of getting them employment opportunities. He revealed that his tiffin centre was shut down, which led him to decide to enter politics.
