Technopark architect Jayachandran is dead

A K Jayachandran, 75, founding-architect of Technopark, died at a private hospital here on Friday, Technopark officials said in a statement. 

He is survived by wife Chandralekha and daughters Aiswarya Anand and Chaitanya Karthik. The cremation will be held at the Santhikavadam, Thycaud, at 12 noon on Saturday.

 Starting with the Park Centre, Pamba and Periyar complexes on the Technopark campus in 1994, he designed Nila in 1997. Bhavani was the flagship building done in 2000 and Thejaswini became the largest IT building in Kerala with 8.5 lakh sq. ft. Technopark officials condoled his death.

 “His vision of Technopark today is a standing testimony for how nature and business can blend well to bring harmony at work,” Technopark CEO Girish Babu said.
