BANGALORE: A national-level technical Fest ‘Abhyuday’ kicked off at M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT) on Wednesday. The fest, organised by the Department of Master of Computer Applications (MCA), was inaugurated by Srikanth Srinivasan, director, HR, Cognizant Technology Solutions. Speaking on the occasion, Srinivasan said: “We need entrepreneurial efforts from students at a time when there is great demand for MCA courses.” He added that the IT industry was looking at more students from computer applications background for growth of the industry.Dr T V Suresh Kumar, Professor and Head of the Department of Master of Computer Applications, Dr N K Srinivas, Emeritus Professor, Department of MCA and Dr G K Ramaiah, Registrar (Academic) were present on the occasion. More than 800 students from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and other parts of the state are taking part at the four-day fest taking place in the city.
