Task force formed to press for Sabari project

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Desiya Janajagratha Parishad has formed a task force titled ‘Sabari Railway’ to press for the implementation of the Sabari railway project. Addressing media persons here on Monday, office-bearers of the task force said that an all-party delegation from the state should meet the Prime Minister demanding the speedy implementation of the project. The project should also be discussed in the Assembly, they said. The Parishad, office-bearers said that a public forum will be formed with people’s representatives, social, cultural and religious leaders as members to ensure the timely implementation of the project. A reception committee will be formed at a meeting to be held at the YMCA Hall here on December 1 at 2.30 pm.  District Panchayat president Ramani P Nayar will inaugurate the meeting.Task force general convener Aji B Ranni, vice-chairman K P Thomas, working chairman Kanyakulangara R Subrahmanian Potty and coordinator Abdul Wahab Kulathupuzha attended the news conference.
