Suspected Naxal held near Mamata's residence
The suspected Naxal claimed that he had gone to chief minister's residence to surrender.

Kolkata: A suspected Naxal has been arrested from near West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's residence on Thursday.

The alleged naxal, identified as Prakash Acharya is a resident of Lodha Suli in West Midnapore district of West Bengal. He has five murder and three landmine cases against him.

However, Acharya claimed that he had gone to chief minister's residence to surrender.

The police sources said that he was being interrogated by the Kolkata police and STF.
