Strike by LPG truck drivers hits Indane supplies

CHENNAI: Supplies of Indane (Indian Oil Corporation)  in the city were hit owing to a flash strike by LPG truck drivers on Thursday. According to the IOC, a strike by the truck drivers at the IOTL plant in Manali, affected LPG dispatches in the city. An IOC spokesperson said, “Talks are being held in the presence of government officials to resolve the issue.”A major chunk of LPG supply to the city comes from Indian Oil’s Ennore and Chengalpet plants. “These plants are working to their full capacity and every effort is being made to supplement the supplies,” the spokesperson said.  In view of the same, Indane customers in the city are requested not to resort to panic booking of refills, a release from the IndianOil said.
