KOLAR: The leaders of both Hindu and Muslim community members strongly condemned Wednesday’s incident in Kolar during the peace committee meeting held on Thursday at Kolar zilla panchayat office which was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner Manoj Kumar Meena.While addressing the leaders he said both the communities are living peacefully. However, some outsiders had planned to disturb peace in the town. He urged the police department to nab the culprits and to punish them in accordance with law. He also appealed the leaders to inform the police if they spot any person roaming near by the temples with he intention to create trouble. He also called upon to spread the message not to write on walls to hurt the feelings of any community. Speaking on the other issues the Deputy Commissioner said all shops in Kolar should be closed before 11 pm strictly, or else action will be initiated against the shop keepers and added that mutton stalls which are illegally open near the temples will be ordered to close he said.Superintendent of Police Dr Thygaraj also thanked the people in the community for cooperating in bringing Kolar back to normalcy after the incident.
