BANGALORE: On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum (VITM) is organising an exhibition as a tribute to India’s greatest engineer.The exhibition features rare and archived photographs of Visvesvaraya and is based on the events of his life. Some portions of the exhibition involve interactive segments, with practical demonstrations of some of his most remembered works.A model of the Krishnaraja Sagar (KRS) dam has been installed, demonstrating the engineer’s methods “This exhibition has never-before-seen images of Visvesvaraya. The aim is to inspire youngsters by spreading information about the engineer,” said director,VITM Shivaprasad Khened.A special feature in the exhibition is the collection of Visvesvaraya’s personal belongings that includes his spectacles, educational certificates and official reports of projects. The exhibition will go on for the entire month on the third floor of the museum.
