SK Mittal is new Rail Safety Commissioner

BANGALORE: S K Mittal has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Rail Safety for the Southern Circle. Replacing DK Singh, the new CRS will handle the rail safety of Southern, South Western Railway and Namma Metro, a press release said.This change comes at a time when Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation is awaiting safety certificate from the Commissioner of Rail Safety. However, despite the change in the CRS, D K Singh will still handle the safety inspection of Reach 1 phase.“Since I have handled the safety inspection of Reach 1, I will complete the process till the safety certificate is issued”, said D K Singh, speaking to Express. He will continue as the CRS in Secunderabad. However, D K Singh refused to announce the inauguration date.
