Six killed in road mishap

THRISSUR: They were returning after attending a funeral ceremony, but could never make it home. Six people, including two women, were killed and one injured seriously when the car in which they were travelling collided with a truck at Mannuthi here on Tuesday. They were all relatives. The deceased were identified as Fancy Alex, 53, her husband Alex George alias Chandichan, 53, and son George Alex alias Geo, 14, of Pandaramkalam House, Athirapuzha, Kottayam; Saju Pothan, 48, of Kandakari Veetil, Changanacherry, Lali Tony, 62, of Chackola House, Thrissur; and her brother-in-law Thomaskutty, 48, of Changanacherry. Saju, Lali and Fancy were siblings.The surviving victim, Philip Tony, Lali’s son, was  hospitalised here where his condition was said to be critical.
