New Delhi: The Delhi High Cout on Tuesday is likely to take up the founder editor of Tehelka Tarun Tejpal's anticipatory transit bail plea in th esexual assault case. The woman journalist who has alleged Tarun Tejpal of sexually assaulting her quit Tehelka on Monday along with two other colleagues.
She has said that it was impossible to work in the organisation in the present circumstances. Her resignation was being seen as a step forward to join the investigation in the case.
Sources in the Goa police said that her statement will be recorded in front of the magistrate in Panjim. Sources also said that the woman journalist is likely to be brought to Panjim on Tuesday.
Tejpal's lawyers are alleging that the Goa Police are showing undue interest in the case and have registered a suo-moto case against him. As Tejpal is a resident of Delhi and the case has been filed in Goa, he is seeking interim protection from the arrest till the time he can approach a court which has jurisdiction in Goa for relief.
