CHENNAI: With six cases registered against Sun Pictures chief operating officer (COO) Hansraj Saxena, speculation is rife whether he would be booked under the Goondas Act.The K K Nagar police registered two cases against Saxena and arrested him after Salem-based film distributors T S Selvaraj and Shanmughavelu lodged plaints of cheating and criminal intimidation against him. He was arrested for the third time when producer Nemichand Jhabak lodged a plaint against him, alleging extortion to the tune of Rs 3.37 crore. Actor Ranjitha was the fourth complainant, while the fifth complaint was filed at Virugambakkam. To a query on whether Saxena would be booked under the Goondas Act, Commissioner of Police J K Tripathy on Tuesday told reporters, “It is up to the investigating officers to decide whether he should be booked under the Act.” On the Nithyananda issue, the CoP said a total of six to seven plaints had been received from both sides and that a team was probing them.Sixth plaint against COOChennai: Yet another plaint - the sixth - was filed against Sun Pictures COO Hansraj Saxena on Tuesday. In his plaint, Arun Murthy said he was promised Rs 22 lakh for graphics work in ‘Sinthanai Sei.’ But, he was paid only `11 lakh. When he demanded the rest, he was threatened, beaten up by Saxena.
