HYDERABAD: A housewife was allegedly stabbed by a garbage collector in the Income Tax quarters on Tuesday afternoon. The man later stabbed himself after the woman raised an alarm. 37-year-old E Prasanthi, wife of Praveen Kumar, is a senior accountant in Income Tax department and reside in Banjara Hills. Police said that while Prasanthi was alone in her house, the garbage collector of the quarters Hussain came to her place at around 12.30 p.m. He reportedly attacked her from behind and inflicted three stab injuries. While Prasanthi raised an alarm, Hussain stabbed himself too. Later, in the hospital, he alleged that the woman has attacked him first. The condition of Prasanthi is said to be critical.
