New Delhi: Indian tennis sensation Sania Mirza on Friday adavnced into the final of the Istanbul Cup doubles, set for a second straight WTA doubles title in two weeks.

Sania, partnered by Yung-Jan Chan of Chinese Taipei, were taken right down the wire in the semi-final by their opponents Mervana Jugic-Salkic of Bosnia and Italian Romina Oprandi, ending their challenge in a thrilling three-setter 6-7 (3/7), 6-0, 10-5.

The pair squandered their 5-1 lead in the first set as their opponents broke back to win it in a tie-break, but didn't repeat the mistake in the second to draw level.

Sania and Yung-Jan dominated the third and final set to take the match into a super tie-breaker and seal it in their favour.

Sania is riding high on the success at the Morocco Open doubles, her fourth WTA title partnering the US's Vania King.
