New Delhi: Samsung has launched its new smartphone - the Galaxy Core 2 - in India. The Galaxy Core, which is the successor to the Galaxy Core smartphone, comes with a faster processor and better display. It is priced in India at Rs 11,900.

The Galaxy Core 2 has a 4.5-inch (800 x 480 pixels) LCD capacitive touchscreen display and a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. The smartphone runs Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Samsung TouchWiz Essence UI. It has a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera.

The device features dual SIM support, has 3G HSPA+ connectivity, 768MB RAM, 4GB of internal storage with expansion slot and a 2000 mAh battery.

The Galaxy Core 2 comes with leather like back cover and offers 14 languages support. It is available in black and white colours.
