Sa Re Ga Ma Pa final nears, contestants hopeful
Vaishali Mhade, Yashita Yashpal and Soumen Nandi speak about their struggle.

Mumbai: The Sa Re Ga Ma Pa musical challenge is in its last leg with three finalists ready to battle it out at the Grand Finale on Saturday evening. It would be something to see who is the nation's favourite.

Vaishali Mhade from Amravati in Nagpur came to Mumbai in 2006 and for this finalist who was a wild card entry to the top 14 after winning the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Marathi title, the initial days of struggle are still fresh in her memory.

“When I came to Mumbai we had to struggle for work, go to music directors and look for whatever work we got for Rs 500- 600," says Vaishali Mhade.

Finalist Yashita Yashpal's passion for music has brought her a long way and dropping out from her 12th boards for music is something that she definitely doesn’t regret.

“It is completely worth it, anything for music,” says Yashita Yashpal.

For Kolkata-based Soumen Nandi who specialises in folk songs reaching this far is a dream come true, a dream he had been seeing for long.

And he has his eye on none other than the Oscar-nominated Rahman.

“I first and foremost want to work with A R Rahman," says Soumen Nandi.

With those aspirations here's hoping these young artistes make their dreams into reality.
