Routes for traffic diversion on Thursday night

KOCHI: The Kochi city traffic police has announced that the preliminary feasibility study for traffic regulations, planned as part of the North Rail Over bridge(ROB) renovation, will be held on  Thursday night from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.According to the plan, all buses (both private and KSRTC) coming from the Edappaly side via Kaloor should use the North ROB to enter and exit the city.  All vehicles including two wheelers coming from the Edappally side should take diversion at Kaloor junction to the Kaloor-Kathrikkadavu Road. These vehicles can enter the city via   Pullepady  bridge by taking diversion from the Kathrikkadavu Junction. They can enter  M G Road via C P Ummar Road, Krishnaswami Road, Chittoor Road, Dorai Swami Road or through Rajaji Road via C P Ummar Road.  Service buses are excluded from this route.Vehicles leaving the city, along with those using the Shanmukham Road, Banerjee Road and M G Road through the north over bridge excluding service buses can a) take diversion to Pachalam railway gate from  the High Court Junction via Mathai Manjuran Road or from Kacheripadi turn left along Chittoor Road towards Pachalam railway gate via Ayyappankavu and from there take a right turn to reach Pottakuzhi through the Pachalam-Pottakuzhi Road. From there, take a left diversion to reach Edappalli through Elamakkara Road or a right diversion to reach Kaloor.b) From Kacheripadi, take a right and reach Chittoor Road or from M G Road move via Veekshanam Road and reach Pullepady Junction. From there, take a left diversion to C P Ummer road and reach Pullepady bridge, turn left to reach T P Bund road and reach K K Road near St Francis Church. From there, take a left turn to reach Kaloor or to take right to reach Kadavanthra -Thammanam routes.
