BANGALORE: Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited (TCGL) organised a road show in the city on Thursday to showcase the exotic month-long ‘Rann Utsav’ to be organised in Kutch, Gujarat,from December 9 to January 15, 2012. Speaking to reporters, Sanjay Kaul, managing director, TCGL, said the Rann Utsav introduces visitors to the indigenous cultural and ethnical flavour of Kutch. “The folk music and dance performances organised in the shimmering moonlit landscape will provide the most enchanting experience,” he stated. During Rann Utsav, the TCGL will organise Rann Safari, Kutch Carnival, cultural programmes, optional tours, adventure sports and a visit to a Kutch village. A paragliding festival is being organised from December 25 to 31, he said. Paraplane/paramotor, para sailing, water sports and artificial rock climbing will be main attraction of the event. An international kite festival will be organised from January 10 to 15, 2012 as part of the festival. Visitors from all over India and international visitors from Japan, Italy, the UK, Canada, Brazil, Indonesia, Australia, the USA, Malaysia, Singapore, France, China, will be part of the event.
