KOCHI: The Expanded Capacity and Modernised Facilities of Bharat Petroleum, Kochi Refinery will be dedicated to the nation by Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas S Jaipal Reddy at 4 pm on Friday at Kochi Refinery, Ambalamugal. Kochi Refineries, the strategic business unit of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd, has expanded its capacity to 9.5 million metric tonnes with modernised facilities for producing clean and green fuels complying with Euro III, IV standards. Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs and Civil Aviation Vayalar Ravi will preside over the function and Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will be the chief guest. R P N Singh, Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, ministers K V Thomas, K C Venugopal, P K Kunhalikutty, K M Mani, K Babu and MPs K P Dhanapalan, P Rajeev and Charles Dias, and V P Sajeendran MLA will be present at the function.
