KURNOOL: Elected representatives of Rayalaseema including MLAs, MLCs, and MPs, cutting across party lines, will meet here on Oct 22 to chalk out an action plan for the development of the region, minister for minor irrigation T G Venkatesh has said. Addressing mediapersons here on Thursday, the minister said the plan would be so designed to motivate people to fight for their rights and justice with the central and the state governments. Suggestions of all the leaders would be taken into consideration, he said, adding that they always had been fighting for development of the region but not for authority like the Telangana people. On Sakala Janula Samme, he said that the right comment would be ‘T leaders made their presence felt’ rather than gauging it as a success or a defeat. He said that Telangana can be carved out in a few moments if TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao can find an amicable solution to it. “It will be better if division of the state is left to the state and KCR fought for the development of the region,” he suggested. He urged T leaders to fight for a hefty package and develop their area instead of troubling people through strikes.
