The 1997-batch Uttar Pradesh-cadre officer has been posted as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and he will look after the over 4,500 personnel-strong Central Industrial Security Force deployment in the Delhi Metro network spread, across the national capital region.
Lal has earlier served as the SSP Ghaziabad and before this posting he was serving as IG (Prisons) in Meerut. He has taken over the charge from incumbent DIG SDD Singh, an IPS officer of 1998-batch Odisha cadre, who has now been posted to the CISF heaquarters.
