Pune: A week after a devastating landslide swept away 40 homes in Pune's Ambegaon, rescue and relief operations are still on. 134 bodies have been recovered so far while close to 50 more persons are still believed to be trapped under the rubble.

Officials say that eight survivors have been pulled out to safety. Heavy rains continue to hamper rescue operations.

Two NDRF observers looked at the cracks that have developed that could give way to more landslides. Experts have told the Maharashtra government that other houses in the neighbourhood should be evacuated.

Meanwhile, there was another landslide at Raigad late on Monday night, following which traffic in the district has been affected.
