HYDERABAD: Causing embarrassment to the Kiran Kumar Reddy government, textiles minister P Shankar Rao on Friday demanded an enquiry into allocation of about 1,000 acres of prime land at Nanakramguda in Vattinagulapalli village for development of Formula One race course. As the project was wound up after Rajasekhara Reddy came to power, the farmers whose lands have been acquired forcibly by the government were now insisting on return of their lands, he added.Shankar Rao also demanded enquiry into all land allocations made by the YSR government between 2004 and 2009. Several lands, including those located between Emaar and Lanco Hills, changed hands, he said but refused to disclose names of the VIPs involved in land transactions and in issuance of GOs after denotification. The minister also alleged irregularities with regard to Bhoodan lands of 1.86 lakh acres.
