President to address nation on Wednesday

President Pranab Mukherjee will address the country on Wednesday, following the eve of the 67th Independence Day.

"The address will be telecast over all channels of Doordarshan in English from 7pm onwards followed immediately by its Hindi translation. The address will also be broadcast over all channels of All India Radio in English and Hindi from 7pm onwards.

"AIR will broadcast the regional language versions of the address over its regional channels from 9.30pm onwards," a statement from Rashtrapati Bhawan said.
