Preity donates Rs 25 lakh KBC prize

New Delhi: After adding colour to the Holi Special of the game show Kaun Banega Crorepati on March 1, actress Preity Zinta donated the money she won on the show to the Shimla District Red Cross Society.

She donated a sum of Rs 25 lakh, ADM Ajay Sharma said on Sunday.

Along with Preity, actress Rani Mukherjee also had won the same amount of cash prize in the Holi Special episode of the quiz show on Star Plus, hosted by superstar Shahrukh Khan.

Preity donated her part of the cash prize to the Society to help out in its welfare activities, Sharma said.

As of now, the Society has purchased an ambulance and a dead body van from the donation, Shimla Deputy Commissioner Tarun Kapor said.
