HYDERABAD: The shooting of Nitin’s film, Ishq scheduled in premises of a hospital was stopped by police on Monday as the unit did not have police permission to conduct the shooting. Coming to know about the shooting, Telangana activists also reached the place but by then the film unit had wound up its equipment and was ready to leave. The film’s lead stars Nitin and Nitya Menon, were present at the spot when police stopped the shooting. The shooting was scheduled at Narayana Hrudayalaya near Suraram village under Dundigal police limits. As the film unit was making preparations for shooting, police reached the place and asked them to wind up shooting. “The film unit had applied for a permission but it did not enclose the consent letter of Narayana Hrudayalaya and permission was not given,’’ Dundigal police inspector V Bhaskar said. The film unit reportedly sent the consent letter from hospital authorities just a few hours before shooting but Dundigal police did not give permission as the letter had to be sent to higher officials for getting permission. As the unit was about to leave, a group of local Telangana activists reached the place demanding the film unit should not conduct shooting in view of the TJAC bandh. “The Telangana activists left the place without creating any trouble as the unit was ready to leave,” police said.
