Two persons, who along with three others had allegedly gang raped a 32-year-old woman in the village Alipur Nagla Mev in the district on Tuesday, have been arrested, police said on Thursday.
Shakru and Shibbo, both residents of Alipur Nagala Mev under Koshi Kalan police station, were arrested while hunt was on for three other accused Bashir, Anish and Murveed, also resident of the same village, they said.
"Three teams have been formed to nab the remaining culprits," SSP Nitin Tewari said.
According to police, the five accused had allegedly gang raped a 32-year-old woman, a resident of Ballabhgarh, on the pretext of giving her lift when she was waiting to board a vehicle for her home at Kosi Kalan on Tuesday last.
They gave her lift in a car, in which four persons were already sitting, and then took her to a secluded hut in the village Alipur Nagala Mev and allegedly gang raped her.
All the accused managed escaped when a villager, from the field nearby, came to her rescue after hearing her cries.
An FIR was lodged on Thursday evening after SP Rural Shagun Gautam visited the spot and made preliminary investigation.
Tiwari said the victim is presently at the district hospital.
"She would either be sent to her husband or to her sister residing at Anand Nagar in Mathura Kotwali, as soon as her statement is recorded under Section 161 of the IPC," the SSP said.
