New Delhi: After a public spat on Twitter, Bollywood actor Anupam Kher and Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit seem to have made peace.

In a turn of events, Basit reportedly called Anupam Kher on Tuesday night and offered to grant him visa if all papers were submitted on time.

Responding to the same, Kher took to Twitter to thank Basit for his initiative to reach out but said that he had already given away the dates for some other commitment.

Earlier, a war of words erupted between Anupam Kher and Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit over the issue.

Kher tweeted, "Dear Abdul Basit, reality remains that Pak Interior Ministry refused to grant NOC for my visa. 17 others invited also didn't apply for visa."

To this, Abdul Basit replied tweeting, "@AnupamPKher Sorry Sir. I don't know who told you about this so-called NoC, we are still to receive your visa application and passport."

Hours after the actor alleged that he was denied the no-objection certificate of a visa to attend the Karachi Literature Festival, Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit had tweeted saying they were had not received Kher's passport or visa application to facilitate his trip.

Sources within the Pakistani High Commission told CNN-IBN that they would issue a visa to Kher within 10 minutes if he submits all papers.
