Bangalore: Onida on Tuesday launched its new innovative LED TV - Onida iTube - powered by Google's Andriod operating system and said it was eyeing to tap the growing market in this segment.

Onida iTube delivers a 3D viewing experience and is Internet-enabled, powered by Android.

iTube has an internal memory of 70MB to store nearly 100 applications and allows download of content while viewing, Vice President (Sales and Services) of Mirc Electronics Sanjeev K Jain told a press conference after the launch of the product.

The Onida iTube is available in five models. While the 32 inch model will have three variants, the 40 inch offers two variants, he said.

The 32" LED TV is priced at Rs 56,000 and 40" Rs 68,000.

Vice President Marketing Vipul Mathur said that the iTube Android powered LED TV will contribute immensely to the ambitious growth target taken up by the company.

The company has estimated that the flat TV market which is currently five million pieces annually will grow to five million mark in the next four years.

The LED market will touch about 60 per cent of the market share in the next two years and LCD segment occupy about 40 per cent, he said.
