PARALAKHEMUNDI: Odia students in Andhra Pradesh (AP) have resorted to agitation alleging step-motherly attitude of the Andhra Government.Students of Class VI, VII and VIII in the Odia-dominated areas of Purunapatna, Tekali and Burugaon under Visakhapatnam on Wednesday boycotted their third language exams. They alleged that the Government has been compelling them to accept Telugu instead of Hindi as their third paper. They submitted a memorandum to the Government and also approached the Odisha Government in this regard.Last year too, a students’ delegation had met the education authorities of AP Government over the issue, but in vain.
