MBA students who were appearing for fourth semester examination at Marwari College allegedly assaulted female invigilators who stopped them from cheating during the exam. The incident took place when a female teacher restricted students from involving in undisciplined activities during the exam. The students made lewd comments and threatened them of dire consequences. Ranchi University’s VC however said that the problem should be solved at the college level.
Hockey player receives grand welcome in Ranchi
Bigan Soy, who played a key role in bagging the bronze medal for Indian junior women hockey team received a grand welcome at Birsa Munda Airport on Thursday. Hundreds of trainees from the Sports Authority of India (SAI) along with officials of Hockey Jharkhand, thronged the airport to welcome Soy. She also met the CM and sports minister of the state.
Dhanbad: Differently-abled children make ‘rakhis’
The physically challenged children of an NGO Jivan Jyoti Sansthaan made colourful rakhis for the upcoming festival. About seventy differently abled children were trained by their teacher Subendu Biswas to make the rakhis. The children were provided with various materials and made beautiful rakhis within a week. The rakhis will be put on sale on August 15.
