ADILABAD: A sub-inspector shot himself with his service revolver in his quarters at Mudhole Tuesday night. Police authorities and his colleagues are mystified by the suicide of Md Tajuddin as he had married just 10 days ago and taken charge of his job a week ago.Police said Tajuddin, native of Mandamarri in Adilabad district, was selected for the sub-inspector's post in the 2010 batch and underwent training at the Indravelli police station. He married Uzma Farveen of Jagtial in Karimnagar district on November. 19. Upon receiving his posting orders on November. 23, he left his bride at her maternal house in Jagtial and reported for duty at the Mudhole police station on November. 25. His family said Tajuddin had seemed happy at his good fortune of getting married and finding a job.On Wednesday morning, Tajuddin did not report for duty and was not available on the phone when his superiors tried to contact him. A home guard was sent to his quarters to fetch him. Police said the courier found his door bolted from the inside. Upon gaining entry, he found Tajuddin sprawled on the floor in a pool of blood. He had shot himself in the temple on the left side of his face.Upon receiving this information, Adilabad superintendent of solice S S Tripathi and other senior officials rushed to Tajuddin's quarters. Tripathi said the police have launched an investigation to ascertain the reasons for the extreme step taken by Tajuddin. While Tajuddin's father Md Kareem, a retired employee of Singareni Collieries, said he is clueless claimed that the family is clueless, his father-in-law Daulatuddin suspected that his son-in-law was murdered.
