Nazir produced in Magistrate Court

KANNUR: Dreaded terrorist Thadiyantavide Nazir was produced in the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court  (I) here on Saturday in connection with a letter addressed to Sarfaras Nawas, one of the accused in the Bangalore blasts case.The court remanded Nazir to police custody till 5 pm on Sunday. He was taken to the KAP Camp, Mangattuparamba, by the police with heavy protection. It was on August 23 that a letter relating to the terrorist activities was confiscated by the authorities from T K Riyas, one of the accused in a vehicle theft case. According to police sources, the letter was  handed over to him by Thadiyantavide Nazir.Nazir was brought to Kannur Central Prison on Friday night from the Viyyur Central Jail. Nazir is being questioned by the police at the KAP Camp.
