Metro rail calls for bids from auditing firms

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd (HMR), which is overseeing the implementation of the Rs 14,132 crore Hyderabad Metro Rail project mode, has invited competitive bids from reputed chartered accountancy firms for appointment as 'Statutory Auditors' for the project. HMR managing director N V S Reddy stated that HMR will prepare a panel of five top chartered accountancy firms from among applicants scoring highest points on the basis of their experience in the past five years and forward the panel to L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Ltd who will then appoint one of the firms as Statutory Auditor. Their jobs would be to certify account books and financial statements maintained by them.
