Melshanthi appointment: TDB to file affidavit

KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Friday directed the Travancore Devaswom Board to file an affidavit on the appointment of Sabarimala Temple Melshanthi.The directive was given while considering the petitions challenging new conditions for the qualifications required for a Melshanthi. The main conditions are that a candidate should  have 10 years of experience as Shanthi in major temples and SSLC as a basic qualification.The case will be heard after one month.
