An art teacher from Mysuru named Shivakumar is currently dominating the headlines. According to Local18 Kannada, he has a profound passion for art and has hung a lot of handmade art pieces on the walls of his house. In this way, his home resembles an art gallery that has become a major attraction for the natives.

Shivakumar said that teaching drawing to children is what interests him immensely. This led to him filling his entire home with various paintings and drawings. Amongst the paintings he has displayed in his house, some of the major ones are pictures of lush-green nature. In addition to that, drawings of friends bonding, elephants, parrots, lions and birds and wall paintings are also there in his home. He has also curated the paintings from the artistic styles prevalent in Thanjavur and Mysuru.

The Mysuru-based Shivakumar has been an artist for the last 20 years and teaches painting to children at a low cost. Students who learned drawing from him are today employed as art teachers in many institutes.

As seen in the Local18 video, Shivakumar has kept many large containers of paint colours that are quite helpful in filling the spaces of the caricatures curated by him. Some of the other creations drawn by him that are too good to be missed are the paintings of Lord Shiva and Siddhartha Gautama (better known as the Buddha). There is another drawing of a military general besides the creation of Lord Mahadeva. Shivakumar has ensured that the rooms of his house remain well-illuminated due to which the visitors face no problems in observing the paintings. Another striking feature of his paintings is that he used a combination of colours for the skin tone of his drawings.

The Mysuru art teacher also took care of the aesthetic vibe of the outside area of his house. He has kept many plants in the windows and hung a pot from the wall as well that make up for an aesthetically pleasing environment. In the interview with Local 18, Shivakumar described his love for painting and other creative pursuits.
