Man held for cheating

KOCHI: A person was arrested from Mankombu on Monday in a case of cheating. Sreerag, 23, Kochupalathinkalchira House, Pullikunnu, Allapuzha, had taken Rs 16,000 from Vishnu, 33, Thazhupilparambu House, Kumbalangi, in March 2011, offering him a job in Singapore. Sreerag was running an agency named Bangalore Placement in Mankombu. The police is probing whether more people have fallen prey to the fake recruiting agent. Sreerag was arrested and produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate and remanded in Judicial custody.
