Bhopal: A man died on Saturday after earth caved-in while digging of a borewell in Ashoknagar district of Madhya Pradesh.
The incident happened in Paurikhedi village that falls under Nayee Saray police station area.
Two people fell several feet below the ground level after earth caved in triggering panic among workers who rushed to their rescue.
Officials reached the spot and started rescue operation with the help of JCB machines. The two men were pulled out after a seven-hour long operation and rushed to Guna hospital. They were identified as Lakhan Raghuwanshi (45), who was getting the borewell dug, and Rakesh Kewat (21), a labourer.
Rakesh was declared brought dead by doctors while Raghuwanshi was battling for his life, the police said.
