Maharashtra Police plan to arrest accused fails, minor girl raped twice
It is being reported that the accused demanded Rs 2000 for returning the girl's mobile phone which had the video.

Jalna: Two men allegedly gangraped a 17-year-old girl on two occasions in Jalna district of Maharashtra after the police asked her to meet the accused in an attempt to set a trap for them.

The girl was reportedly first raped at gun-point and she alleged that the entire incident was recorded on her phone by the offenders. It is being reported that the accused then started demanding Rs 2000 for returning the girl's mobile phone which had the video.

The police then asked the girl to meet the accused on the pretext of taking her phone back by paying Rs 2000. They reportedly accosted her and raped her again.

The two alleged rapists have been arrested, the mobile phone recovered, but so far police said no video has been found in the phone.

The police officer behind the incident has been suspended.

A senior police officer said, "One of our officers made a mistake and he has been suspended. A plan was laid out a trap to nab suspects, but it didn't work as we expected. We will take corrective measures to ensure this doesn't happen again."
