Leopard mauls cow in Coimbatore

A leopard on Monday attacked and dragged a cow into the jungles when it was grazing in the Vellamalai Solappadi Estate area, police said.

The owner of the cow and locals rushed to the spot and found its half-eaten carcass, and informed forest department officials.

The officials found pug marks and are keeping vigil, since they expect the leopard to return to eat the remains, police said.
